It’s Lamborghini tomorrow but this time a private factory tour by a colleague who does business with them, should be more engineering oriented than the tourist visitor centre. Today though, glorious Florence, I’d have to say the best city so far, so beautiful and a multitude of interesting sights old and new. Florence is only about 50 miles from where we are but it’s a 150 km drive, the autostrada in the mountains is quite enjoyable though. The best drive in the area was from the mountain to Parma the first half of which was about 20km of constant twists son a two lane road and not a soul around. we also dropped in past the Ferrari factory in Maranello on the way home for a snoop around and to see the current day main entrance, I let my son drive the hours ride home to Albareto from there, since they charge £180 for ten minutes of a car like mine, he’s due me a grand!
