I have driven a 4/4 with a 3:7 but it was so far apart time wise I can’t recall the difference. What I do know is that 5th is very usable in mine when others have commented that not so useable in theirs.
I don’t know the circumstances of how it came to be fitted but it was so it’s a part that must be available. Not sure how helpful the Morgan factory would be perhaps it was an option? Surely others must have it fitted also. There might even be people driving around in 4/4s totally oblivious as to what final drive is installed.
I’m going to my local dealer end of this week I’ll ask to see if they know anything more.
