Well it’s been a super couple of days
Drove the Mog down yesterday. Set off from home near Chorley at 7:20am, got to the NEC at 9:50am
I was fearing that finding the right hall and door and driving the Morgan into the hall for the set up day would be fraught with problems but it was an absolute breeze. The stewards were fantastic, no queues and really well signposted. Drove straight in and straight on to where the MSCC stand was to be formed

Spent a couple of hours or so chatting with the other Morgan owners who turned up over the course of the morning and then got down to cleaning the Mog ready for display

The journey down was a bit mucky, drizzle all morning so had to give it a complete spruce up using detailer and various polishes. I came well prepared with knee pads (vital), rubber gloves and lots of cloths

The organisation at the NEC is quite remarkable. At 10 o clock I was in an empty bare hanger, by the time I left at about 5pm it was looking like a proper exhibition, with walkway carpets and erect stands and lots of gleaming cars

Today was spent all day meeting loads of fellow Morgan owners who came on to the stand as well as classic car enthusiasts who just wanted to chat and have a look. Lots of really nice comments about my Morgan and everyone else’s on the stand which is nice. I bought Martyn Webb’s new book and got him to sign it. I’ll get Charles’ book and ask him to do the same tomorrow

I’m now absolutely knackered so back at the hotel and I’m so tired I’ve ordered room service as I don’t have the energy to go out to eat

Looking forward to tomorrow
