Great turnout for an M3W club national event at Old Warden Airfield, home of the Shuttleworth flying aircraft collection.

In fact there was a good turnout of 4 wheelers as well in the background.

This 1937 two speeder caught my eye being fitted with a Pobjoy 7 cylinder radial aircraft engine with open valve gear and twin magneto's of course. Ironically there was an example in the museum which claimed a total capacity of a little over 2.8 litres. This must have been an earlier variant though with a mere 2.4 litres and around 70 hp.

A great day out despite leaving a little earlier than planned due to gathering rain clouds. It paid off as had an almost entirely rain free round trip of 150 miles.
