I enjoyed a great drive out around the Trossachs in my old 80`s +8, yesterday morning , the weather was a tad cloudy and threatening, even felt a couple of spits, but as luck woulld have it the spits came to nothing, and quite by chance it seems I had my favourite section of road almost totally free of traffic, the old Mog was in it`s element..as was I on this rather demanding stretch of Tarmac, which required concentration, quite some degree of physical effort and more so where the road surface was a tad less than perfect in places, I suspect each of the wheels in turn may have lost a measure of contact with the road surface over the bumps, but there was more than enough involvement and enjoyment in the whole process for me to think that it seems like quite a while since I enjoyed a circa 75 mile drive out in the countryside quite as much as this run... Regardless of the other vehicles I have at my disposal with the ability to grip the road better, as the result of their on board digital management of everything, or provide me with considerably more comfort convenience and general bling, along with EV acceleration, or in another petrol powered circa 400 horses, compared to the old Mogs perhaps 150....! Who was it first declared "Horses for Courses" I wonder, but he sure got it right.... The Mog was just the perfect machine to choose for that road and on that morning.... What`s more to want...? (-:
