Yesterday, I went to the airfield festival in Leverkusen with a colleague. There, I had the opportunity to take part in a Junkers F13 sightseeing flight. The Junkers F13 was the predecessor of the famous Junkers Ju 52. The F13 was the first all-metal commercial aircraft. It made its maiden flight in 1919. The passengers sat in a cabin, while the pilots sat outside. It was believed that, for safe flight operations, the pilots should feel the airflow and be aware of the weather conditions. It was all very interesting. It was a great experience.
