Fitted an inline fuel priming pump to help get fuel to the X flows mechanical fuel pump after the car has sat idle for a period without use. It works well, I'm glad I got round to fitting one of these after owning the car for 40 years!

Did exactly the same myself on Sunday!
Chaps, any chance of the details please ? as my old F Super has a very low pressure cam driven pump and no carb tickler and can require 'excessive intervention'
I've used a bulb primer pump. It's currently under the bonnet, but I'm going to move it to the rear at the weekend, to where the fuel line goes over the rear arch. I only need to use it if I've not used the car for a few weeks. At the weekend, gave it about 5-6 pumps (till the bulb went hard) and she started fairly quickly, Normally be cranking for ages, as the fuel evaporates out of the weber 32/36 floay bowl.
