There was a gap between cars, Ferrari Edinburgh asked to buy the 488 at a good price shortly after the Italian road trip I did in ‘24, they’ve actually risen in value even more since. It was an amazing car but life took a turn and I lost interest in cars for a while.
I had a superb drive home from Edinburgh yesterday, over Glenhee to Braemar then across to the Tomintoul road, then Rhynie, Huntly, Turriff and Crichie. No traffic and a million corners, burned a whole tank in 150 miles!
It’s incredibly powerful, sounds amazing and pin sharp, alway exciting. This one is the Assetto Fiarano version with titanium springs instead of the standard, a must if you want to actually drive the thing rather than cruise the high street looking at yourself in shop windows 😂
It’s better in every way than the previous models I’ve had except for depreciation, I’ll likely lose a fair bit on this one, it had less than 1k miles when I bought it and it’s already at 4K, I’ll be doing another Italian euro trip soon too so it’ll double again shortly.
To be honest I’m smitten again with Ferrari, I’d take any of the current line up, the back catalogue is good too but not at inflated prices.
You need to try the 12 cylinder cars as well, brilliant things especially the Purosague bonkers fast and handles like a rally car.
