what would you recommend?

A serious thought. I sold the Ferrari last year and I also sold the motorbike . I had decided that the Ferrari wasnt much use thanks to speed cameras and congestion, and that at 81 I was a risk to myself on a bike. Never learned throttle control - all vehicles in fron were there to be overtaken! Well not quite but you get the idea.

So as a toy which would be slow and encourage bimbling along I was wondering about a Trad. But I am past the age of "getting out and getting under" so I was wondering what sort of second hand Trad would offer the best chance of reliability and rust freedom. Are there galvanised chassis? I seem to remember something about a stainless bulkhead. And what engine - I have heard well of the Ford Duratec. 2l for a little bit of oompf.
