Advised by my dealer Ledgerwood that emails are going out to Plus Six owners not to use the car until a possible leaking master brake cylinder issue is fixed - loss of brakes is possible.

Not sure if it affects other vehicles.

Dealer meeting tomorrow Wednesday - not sure how cars will get to the dealer.

Affected owners to be contacted.

I had to ring the dealer because I was advised by another motorist that my brake lights were on permanently. Dealer told me to push a switch connected to the brake pedal lever under steering wheel which made a ratcheting noise and moved about an inch which cured the problem.

Mechanism that controls the brake lights must be sticking - need to keep an eye on that.

I suspect had this brake issue occurred twenty or thirty years ago when a great many Morganeers were spanner handy, maintaining and repairing their cars themselves.... The answer to any issue would have been posted in far less that the ninety posts, which have seemingly failed to provide anything conclusive..?

Just another example of human evolution I guess...

what would it do us to know which component exactly was the problem ? I work in the automotive industry, recalls are "normality" for all manufacturers today.

Glad you've been enjoying the Morgan in the way it's intended. I think the rest is fairly irrelevant - it happened, it was fixed, no one died, time to move on.
