Talk Morgan Forums Thread Like Summary - Some advice please…ter

I am planning to buy either a 3.0 or 3.7 V6 Roadster which I would use for UK trips and European tours.

Firstly, I know the BHP difference between the two engines but is the torque similar as one of the Morgan specialists has told me that the 3.0 is a better engine and smoother with a flatter torque curve so any views on this would be helpful?

My second question relates to suspension upgrades…….
In view of the generally appalling state of our roads and my aim not to loose too many of the fillings in my teeth I understand that both front and rear suspension upgrades will be a must and there are 2 types - Rutherford and SSL - would appreciate any views on either of these and how they compare

I guess there were no nibbles at the asking price of £47.5K, or Cornwall is "too far" ?

It was suffering from Jetwash I heard as the Lightning headed off to RV at Lands End on full reheat

Paul F - everywhere is tight at the moment on the Morgan FB sites the dealers always splash their new owners handovers whether they are new or pre loved Morgans but there has been a paucity this year.
Allied to the massive stock levels at MMC and dealerships they are really in trouble.

Tarka was a very good indication that auction is the only option if you want to realise the capital and frankly I don't see this situation changing in the forseeable future espeacially with the whole green thing going on and of course the future of MMC is far from assured imho.
I shall be very surprised if it isn't sold off by the mafia within the next two years.
