As Morgan Motor Company do not seem to be interested in carrying out reinforcement work to their sub standard brackets (of which there have been several failures) I decided to take proactive action. A failure hundreds of miles from home and probably abroad with a full case does not particularly appeal. I removed the rear valence and the brackets to get them reinforced by extra welding . A fairly straight forward process except getting the stuck on number plate off was difficult and there is a hidden bolt behind the plastic inner wing lining which was tricky to get out and a real b..... to get back in!
PS Remember to protect the nice chrome exhausts before dropping the valance, tape around the bracket holes also helped.

I completely agree with you there, Chris.
Even though my bracket is now well welded, I will mill a pair out of the solid when I have time over the winter.
