A very interesting and honest look at the countries extensive experience here .

I found it a very interesting perspective and overview of the various issues some of which had not occurred to me.

That is an interesting read.
It reinforces my view that politicians are not great at creating and implementing anything that requires a strategic view.

Norway has agreed to reduce its CO2 emissions.
This is challenging for an oil and gas producer.

To cut CO2 emmissions, oil has been banned for heating buildings and ppl encouraged to buy EV`s.

New cars are heavily taxed in N on purchase. EV`s has enjoyed reduced taxes.
The result of this is that a 500hp EV was much cheaper than a 500hp fossil fuel car.
Now the tax reduction for expensive EV has been adjusted.
EV`s has also been excempt from road toll and could also drive in the bus lane.

Myself I`ve been working in the oil and gas industry for many years.
I also believe its sensible to burn less oil and gas, but I don`t see how we could survive without o&g.
O&G is in almost all products we need except food(but needed for growing and harvesting)
