Lived 20 plus years in the Peak District village where Johnny Johnson lived and died. A signed picture of 'his' Spitfire hangs in the Village Hall. Stories of Douglas Bader staying over with him complaining about the discoloured bath water. They really were special people and very much 'of their time'.
