One of us drove up the highest pass and won't come back.René Bouvard, 64, passed away on 09th of January 2024.
A wonderful person, a role model and a strong personality. A loving husband, a caring father and a friend of great integrity.
René was someone you met once - and then you'd never forgot him. You probably remember this special guy from the Threewheeler meet “M3W JUNGFRAU TREFFEN”.
Him in the dark green "Brooklands" edition, with that endless enthusiasm and sensational, infectious sense of humour. And his characteristic, big, curved moustache!
I had met him shortly after his cancer diagnosis. I was shocked and hugged him in tears. He was very calm and said:
"you know Pete it’s ok ... I don't have a bucket list ... I lived all my dreams!"His daughter Nathalie just wrote me the following today:
"René fell asleep peacefully after getting weaker and weaker. In the last few days, when we asked him what he was dreaming about, when he was a bit more awake in between, he was mostly driving the Morgan!
So I'm sure now he's driving his Threewheeler somewhere and enjoying it... For him, the Morgan community was an important part of his life!"I am sad. Downheartet. My friend. I miss you. Threewheeling will never be the same for me again.
René leaves behind his wife Silvia and his two children, Nathalie and Oliver.
And a huge gap in our community.
Pete / Comet - in consent with René's family.
