The article with picture is about opposition of Wetherspoons opening in Marlow

“Marlow is a place where the Royal Swan Upper keeps a count on the Monarch's avian possessions.

And where a grey-haired gentleman, replete with tweed cap, black leather driving gloves and Barbour wax jacket taking his hand-crafted Morgan Plus Four for a blast through the Chilterns is completely natural.

Obviously the £40k car is topless, a sign of the driver's commitment to classic open top motoring regardless of the season.”

The grey haired gentleman was me!! Haven't been on the forum for a while but someone pointed out that they had spotted me in the Mail and in following the story up on line it led me to this conversation. Just innocently taking the scenic route back from Maidenhead to Reading via Marlow, Henley, Wallingford and Pangbourne. Certainly not expecting to get caught up in a debate about a proposed Wetherspoons in Marlow. I didn't see the photographer although I recall driving down that particular road.
Ah well, fame at last!

The big question will be where the bathrooms are situated, how long a hike and how much elevation change will be required, that cheap beer passes through quickly cheers

It is what they do. The DM is an odious rag. Mrs F reads it daily and comes out with some wierd stuff.
