At some point in her life, Little Red had been retrofitted with a highly modified Ford Kent crossflow with a front sump pan. One of the problems is that there was oil starvation on hard right turns, so we decided to remedy the situation while the engine is out for a refresh. This is the set-up that Marc has had success with in a few other cars, so we went with it. Baffles, flapper doors and a horizontal fin to keep the oil from "sliding" up the side of the pan. Pretty sure this is a problem solved...

That's a neat job. It's useful to know that something that simple works well. I should do that mod to my Elan really.
