Having to adjust my 2011 4/4 handbrake. I understand getting the auto adjusters set & the car jacked up with the axle resting on the chassis. But what tool do you use to get onto the adjuster nut on the cable within the parallel metal part. ?
Mine is set at it's slackest & I just can't get anything on to it to wind it up a bit after loosening the lock nut.

Done, only needed about 6 mm of tightening.
Made a tool to hold inner nut. Box spanner 11mm cut down to 40mm length.

Found it easy to hold inner nut & after releasing outer lock nut, to turn the cable “grip” that allows a spanner. Then release inner nut & let cable go back to it’s static position then Re engage tool on inner nut turn cable grip repeat as necessary.
