I’ve been lucky with my Plus 6 until 16 days ago. I use and abuse it most days, owned it 2.5 years and apart from OS light coming one once, it’s never put a foot wrong. Nothing, no rad issue, brake issues, nothing, until 16 days ago. Coming back from Ludlow yard to our place near Malvern, heater stopped working, battery light came on and steam pouring out of engine vents. Switched off, checked water, empty. Filled it up with Evian bottled water, drove 6 miles home. Steaming like a bastard when home. Ring Morgan next day, bring it down if you can. Filled up with water, did the 4 miles, didn’t overheat and I left it in Malvern works car park. I knew what it was as so do the rest of you. So, 16 days later, get it back, updated new radiator, aircon gassed, software update, everything works, nice valet, but not to fussed about that. Keys handed back, no charge. Thank god for that !! As out of warranty and radiator was first changed over two years ago. I was one of the first to have it done apparently. Because I drove it to factory and dumped it there. Anyway, that’s another story. So, up shot, I feel Morgan were very honourable, never a mention of any cost to me, and fixed in a couple of weeks. So I feel that they are not all bad. We didn’t get into any discussion about the rad failures, I was just glad it was fixed with no drama. They said keep an eye on it, it is the absolute latest radiator and all updates are on point. I’ll keep you informed going forward if your interested.

Oh and a side note, I have no real interest in changing it for a new, or newer one, as it’s very hi spec press car and it has a hard top. But….. due to its age and higher milage, part ex price quotes against new one as of today, £42k. Definitely keeping it , using it in all weathers and generally intend to thrash it to death.

Absolutely the right attitude to Morgan ownership......far too many folk worried about SORN, depreciation, low mileage and polishing.......😆

It's a car........it want's driving...

Good news for Jono who deserves a no quibble repair as a proper Mog user

Just bear in mind chaps that regardless of expired warranties a proven latent design defect can be claimed up to 6 years from the date of cause (cause = build date in my view)
