The devil is in the detail - my good lady cracked up spotting this in a Country Living mag left by our daughter the other week.

Unsure if you are saying they are expensive ? . They are nice and in truth only a few fills of Starbucky coffee at their prices.
We have 13 coffee shops/places to have coffee in our 500 metre high street ( with a bit of licence as 4 are a few yards off the main road).
We did a pint of beer cost recently - what’s the cheapest coffee in the cold North and balmy south west.
McDees coffee is about the only thing I buy from them . It was a pound last year, now £1.29 or £1.39 but I like the taste. Pret in Gatwick recently was £4.95 I think. Paid less to travel to one way to Trieste Ho Ho !! MM

Not that keen on coffee.
Though I have memories of arriving at my Mum and Dad’s house and the smell from their coffee percolater!
For me, coffee shops have always been a place to meet with friends.
I’ll usually have a cup of tea.

The idea of a hand turned wooden coffee cup is beyond me.
I’m sure that there will always be a few mugs who would buy them.

Parents from Lancashire and Yorkshire . It was a friendly war of the roses but they both agreed that tea had to be so dark the spoon stood up in the cup. Strange family as my uncle lifted his trilby every time we passed a Tetley pub (not tea):The result of my upbringing, I don’t like tea apart from the only time I can really enjoy - with a weekend fry after a cold mornings walk it just hits the spot on these occasions .
I did flirt with lemon tea at 15 when I used to frequent a coffee shop hangout for the young mods , writing poetry…….god I was pretentious back in the day. It did have great returns though if you get my drift. MM
PS very strange thing I’ve just remembered ….I got a job offer after leaving Unl with J Lyon’s & Co, Tea Division ! Perhaps I would have had to drink tea as an assistant to a tea brand manager !

At home I swear to my Jura J8, makes perfect espresso's, cappuccino's, lattes, etc. I choose my beans, the milk (or oat-milk for the Vegan relatives), and it tastes perfect. When I became 50 years old, I bought myselff my first Jura. This one is the third one. They last 6-7 years, so the cups of coffee are expensive, but you don't think of that when enjoying your drink!

DaveW ... think the CBD tip came from me ... Mrs Image had crushing multi-day migraines she would pass out from, and it sorted her out immensely. Glad it helped you
