It is nice to see that quite a few owners use their cars all year round; however, it would be interesting to hear how people use their Morgans in winter from a hood up vs down perspective...

Generally top-down through the year unless it's persisting it down (Mrs image then requests the hood) .... not been out much over winter ... nothing to do with the car or weather.... the foresters trucking out 2500 tons of logs down our drive rendered it more than somewhat muddy and rough ... have taken to using the Landy for transport until such time as my 'digger-man' can get in and repair it.

Here's a snap from last winter though ... arriving at the 'cars and coffee' at minus 5 degrees behind the aeroscreens ... only 'topless' car there and the shivering organisers were impressed enough to make it their headline pic for the meeting report! 🙂

Graham you are welcome thank you posting the pics.
As you can see there is quite a collection of beach pebbles on the tank now and some carry touching messages to the boys, they started to appear in covidia and like Topsy …..it is a beautiful thing in todays world 🙏

I always ask Rich to pat the tank whenever he visits. I know we aren't supposed to touch, but it;s something I have done when in the area.

I drive in the winter when there is no salt on the road and I don't have a roof or sidescreens. Back in the early 90s drove back in April from Kitzbuhel Austria to Cambridge in the day. Left at 07.00 and it was -8C, tonneau covered in snow and frozen rigid. Frozen cheeks early on and made it back to my local in time for a pint. 850 miles, 15 hours.

If the streets are dry and sans salt: We drive as usual hood down, no tonneau cover.

OK pantsdown
I have to confess that we ride with side screens when it is very cold and windy.
But we do that very rarely.

Super 3 I Have No roof Anyway
and in cold,low-salt winter weather
with stars,clear full moon night
with the Sun Low in the Sky
and the Clearest Air of the Year
with Other Nature Colors, not like in Summer
wintermorganing is different,
but it makes you ( me ) happy
and delight the soul.
This is exacly, why we drive "" Morgan"".
