Start with the zip fully undone and the cover over the rear of the car. Make sure the hood bonnet catches aren’t engaged

Then fold the cover

Roll the cover downwards and tuck over the hood header rail

Fasten the press stud to keep the cover in place when driving

As can be seen, the cover is nowhere near the seatbelt

I hold the hood in place with a bit of elastic cord. I believe later cars have a pin for the tenax to attach to

There is an alternative if you want to completely cover the space between the hood and the rear of the seat. The image won’t display in the thread, however, but the link works. It is achieved by making one fewer folds in the cover before rolling the cover under and tucking it over the header rail. Instead of holding the cover in place with the press stud tuck the cover under the hood. The weight of the hood will keep the cover in place.
