I will need to park in Ledbury town centre. Would the public car parks be reasonably safe? They don’t seem to be monitored or manned.

I would say so. I have no concerns about parking my Morgan in any rural town.

Thanks. Much appreciated. The accommodation was booked for us as we are attending a wedding, whereas my usual preference is either out of town or private car park if in town. Anyway I am somewhat reassured.

I used to run regular school trips and have have stayed here - https://flanderslodgehotel.be/en/ which was a 20 min walk to the Menin Gate

and here: https://www.oudeabdij.com/oa/index.php/en which is about 20km out of Ypres but really peaceful in a lovely village

Both have good parking.

I’d recommend Talbot House in Poperinghe about 20 minutes outside Ypres. https://www.talbothouse.be/nl/guesthouse

It was a soldiers rest during the Great War and now a Musuem and guesthouse. You can order a full English breakfast and it’s the only place youre guaranteed a proper cuppa! If you’re in the area for history then this is the place as you sleep in the rooms the troops did. The Upper Room is a wonderful chapel.

I stay there several times a year when visiting the battlefields and love it.
