In the 1960's Trago Mills was the go-to place for household essentials. One of our farming acquaintances suffered a fire in their house and lost most clothing and bedding. They saved the cheque book fortunately and went directly to Trago Mills to get the stuff they needed to carry on.

Don’t know the Devon Trago Mills but the one near Liskeard is like being in a time warp. It has everything from fishing tackle, furniture, garden equipment, food, etc, etc. in a rambling building that seems to go on forever. Worth a visit if you are in that neck of the woods.

That was part of a day out for us from Paignton in my Dad's VW Beetle.
He'd belt it down Bovey Straight from memory.
Usually we combined it with a trip to the Moors.

I recall spending hours in the original Trago Mills store when driving between Plymouth and Portsmouth around the millennium.

Martin, that is a shame as we must have been there around 1130 and stayed until 1400 ish.

Hope you and Karen had a good time in the Westcountry.

That was jbk's Lancia Blue car you saw.
