With thanks to gomog and DW, I have been replacing my leaf springs. Refitting the front of the new leaf spring with G-clamps on the chassis proved difficult so I thought of another remedy. Here is a 40kg ceiling prop used to good effect although I have to say it was on its limit of capacity. Now for the other side…….

When I did mine a few years ago I went the other way. I attached the front first. I put a long board under the car and put a strap around the end and around the spring. I then sat on the board which pulled the spring down into place. By varying my weight on the board, I could get the holes to line up.
