To get the most from our Catalina membership the GEG hit Duxford today in 2 mogs & some tin tops.
Always a great place to visit even if it was cold.

Graham this will have to be on our airfields tour I reckon next year, haven’t been for about 8 years now.

It's only about 30 miles from Shuttleworth if you're hoping to come over next year.

There's also a small Aero Museum at Sywell Aerodrome (about an hour north of Shuttleworth) https://www.sywellaviationmuseum.org.uk/

There's a lovely Art Deco hotel at Sywell, that's reasonably priced. Althoiugh it's only 10 miles from home, the Mrs and I are having a night there in Jan. We're going over in the evening, having a meal, lots of drinks and the bar, breakfast in the morning and then home. Just because we can smile

https://www.aviatorhotel.co.uk/

"Formerly the original Pilots Clubhouse and Officers Mess during the Second World War, the Aviator has been extensively renovated in recent years to its former Art Deco glory, whilst retaining much of its rich Aviation history."

When we were planning a Mog trip a good number of years ago I reckoned on a good 1.5 days to see it all.
Rich I think Phil has pointed to good accommodation for this visit. Not going to be early in the year though, until I can get clear of the after effects of the radiotherapy...
We’ll go whenever you are ready and for as long as you want, you know our leisurely pace.
Definitely 1.5 day visit for Dixford I have yet to make it to the heavy metal hangers after probably 6 visits 😎

Sorry, my bad. I always think everyone can hear all the voices in my head for context. Must remember it's it's only us that can.

It was the comment re the GEG, groups of six. cheers

The later days of COVID. Half of me felt like I was pleased not to have suffered or brought suffering to others and half of me felt like No.6 in The Prisoner having been locked up for so long. juggle
