After a lot of soul searching and 12 years of memories I have decided to put the Coupe up for rehoming. I thought I would share this here before putting it up with a dealer or autotrader etc? This car has an odd effect, everywhere you go it causes a disruptive smile bubble. It seems that every person looking at it is smiling. It makes a bad day good. You could almost look at it as being a service on behalf of the NHS to improve peoples daily life. The paint has a few bubbles that will need addressing shortly, not insignificant, £8,000 quoted It has a fairly unusual CD/Radio/Carplay unit for the touring. It can be replaced It has a private plate on it which is not included 44,000 miles is 4,000 per annum and better than sitting and wasting I hope I have priced it fairly, in truth I hate selling it so any daft offers will receive an honest response The car is in Dartmouth, it's quite far south, Totnes is nearest BR. One recently sold for £150k but with lower mileage and it is a tight market. Given it needs money spent on paint I was looking for £120k but am realistic. All feedback welcome as a lot of you know the market and can advise.
I well remember sitting in your glorious seats Alistair when parked up in Imber Village on the trip organised by Peter Jenks, very comfy too. Picture of said event with a line up of different Aeros., Coupe, S4, Max, S3 and +8.

I have a suspicion it was described at the time as "Yarwood" but to be honest I was so overloaded by being able to own it they could have said Penguin Leather and I would have just nodded.
Yarwood are the maker.
In 2009, I recall having a conversation with Matt Humphries and he had either been sent some Yarwood samples speculatively or had asked for them to be sent. At the time he mentioned it was heavy traffic (pun intended) furniture leather and he was quite taken with the distressed versions. He showed me the Tribe range, and in particular 'Africa' and 'Zulu' and I ended up using Africa on my car. It never ceased to get positive comments and wore very well, in spite of having a distressed, almost very fine pile suede feel to it. As your coupe was a factory car, from a similar time, there is every likelihood that your recollection is correct and that it is a Yarwood leather, which one, and from which range, is less clear. Whatever the case, the Tillett seats are (and were) an expensive options and as per your comments, whilst they may not look like they'd be comfortable, are the exact opposite and are both supportive and great for long distances.
I know I'm breaking the site rules here by commenting but I wanted to provide some context.
Alistair, no doubt you will have thought long and hard over this decision and I wish you every success with the sale; however, I will add that I fear you may miss the coupe. Whilst I agree with the sentiment that you are 'not selling the memories', there is no other modern car quite like the Coupe (and the Aeromax). It is frustratingly challenging to find anything remotely close to matching the sheer sense of occasion, automotive art and joy these special vehicles exude. As you yourself have commented in other posts, the reaction of the public is nothing short of staggering; never negative, always curious, more often than not a sense of wonder and when they find out it is British, specifically when driven in the UK, pride.
Having watched the market closely for years, I think your price is very fair. As I mentioned in another post, my Aeromax (when it moved from owner two to three), sold for circa £150k, not too long ago, and another sold for circa £145k. The mileage is reasonable for a car of its age and I know you have cared for it; Aeros, like all Morgans (and all mechanical things!) benefit from being used. If I was going to jump in a Morgan to do a long trip, I'd rather be in one that has been used than one that has been hidden and seldom driven.
If anyone is looking for one of these special cars, they really should be reaching out to you... however, I'm still in the camp of I hope you keep it! I'm now off to chastise myself for breaking the rules of the site.
