Hello -
I bought a Morgan Super 3 from a US dealer (I won't name names at the moment). I purchased a $2000 graphics kit, and they installed it. The installation job was subpar and amateur at best. It probably has about 60+ bubbles; they didn't cut around the rivets, so the graphics just "tent" over them. It looks like they butchered the vinyl around the exhaust tip. Just sloppy, unacceptable work. That's the large graphics across the side of the car. The front cowl graphic is upside down, and 6 other smaller graphics are misaligned or crooked.
They just want to replace the smaller graphics and "fix" the larger parts. My concern is that the installation is so poor (and cut so poorly) that it is never going to be of the quality you'd expect on this car. My question is, will the factory offer any support? To pressure them to do the right thing? The only reason why I was comfortable with them doing any work on the car is that they are a Morgan dealer here in the US.
I'm kicking myself as Morgan West had the car I wanted, it was just 80% more in cost. They've since dropped the price to what I paid for this car. I've been ordering parts from Morgan West, and they've been amazing to deal with, especially compared to this company I am dealing with now.

Sorry for the poor experience. Have you explained to the selling dealer their recourse isn’t acceptable to you? I’m assuming you’ve already taken delivery of the vehicle. If not, can you not accept it, especially if it’s new?
I have no experience with the factory, but can attest to Morgan West being a great dealer to work with. Good luck.

"will/can I get support from Morgan"
As the dealer performed the labor, I would rate it unlikely to get contemporary Morgan to exert any sort of real pressure on their dealer, who is after all, an independent US company. (I say "contemporary Morgan" because they are no longer owned by the family, but rather a European conglomerate).
But rather than conjecture, why not contact Morgan and know what their stance is? But from a practical standpoint, you might make that your last resort, as you would likely be burning a bridge to your most local dealer.
I once had a somewhat similar dealer issue with a BMW I owned, and after repeated, email documented, attempts to get them to rectify the damage they caused to the car, I posted photos online on various venues and told the story of how they were ghosting me (after 6 cars purchased from them over 20 years). The new owner threatened to sue me, but I called his bluff, and we finally came to a cash settlement as I refused to have them correct the issue.
Or another perspective: As an attorney friend advised one time: "When you are in the right, pound the facts. When it's not so clear who is right, pound the table."

You are the customer who payed a (supposedly) professional company to do professional work. You know what you want to have done at this point. Why are you asking permission to pursue your desired outcome from an online forum?

Just to provide an update. Morgan intervened, and they helped me reach a resolution. My guess is that the installation of the graphics (I'm getting a new graphics pack installed locally) and the dealership's behavior were a rather egregious representation of the brand. This dealership is not local to me (they just had the car I liked in stock), so I don't plan to use them again and will use the closest dealership from now on. I'm very impressed with this company. I just hope they bring the Super Sport to the states- I was on the fence about a Plus Four...but this may have swayed me. So grateful.
