Thanks for sharing that experience John, I had visions of riding route 66 on a Harley back in the 70`s which was around the time I was riding Nortons, and the Dunlop TT 100 was the first tyre I ever knew of which had a triangular pattern back then... Years later when I owned my BMW R80RT, the bike shop I used had run out of OE spec tyres, and had a couple of sportier dual compound Bridgestone tyres, jeez.. What a difference, from the bike almost able to stay on line once set up for a corner, to being ready to alter course at any instant, which required a whole lot more concentration, fine for the race track, but not ideal for my general fast road usage... Lesson learned..!
P.S. Also had visions of selling up and bumming around the Med on a sail boat... Never got around to that either... Sigh.. (-:
Oh, it's never too late....even on a smaller scale....I was talking about building a model boat (not sure sail or motor) and popping down the local boating lake.....less ambitious, but can be just as enjoyable.
