Looking fabulous on the Aerolite wheels, reputedly the ex Hammond crashed car in caring new ownership.

It's looking lovely but unless I'm mistaken, Hammond's car went to Australia, purchased by an ex-racing champ (iirc motorcycles), and therefore, unless it got shipped back, is still in the same ownership.

Whomever it is, I have to say that the Aerolite wheels do suit it, albeit take it towards more modern than perhaps the Rays, which seemed to hark to a bygone era imho.

Nothing has come out of Pickersleigh Road as good since the Aeromax, I doubt it ever will...................🤷🏻‍♂️
Total perfection, Matt Humphries......brilliance....👍🏼
The wheels do look fantastic on it.
It's great to see it being used in the real world....😁

Well, it seems it is still in Australia but the story is stranger... laugh2

My memory did serve me well, it was originally sold to Chris Vermeulen, who won the World Supersport Championship in 2003 among other successes.

In 2014, he sold the car to a fellow Australian, Philip Allen, for £143,000, who plans to be buried in it using it as a coffin!

goodnight

The thought of an Aeromax being driven on roads at night, for eternity, in spectral form, makes me smile. Hats off to Mr Allen; whilst I hope he doesn't require the use of his Morgan coffin for some time, I commend his style!

I saw this car at Michael Caines' Celebration of Speed do down at Lympstone. Registration EU113 or EUI 13 if it was originally a Northern Irish plate. Didn't notice the wheels though.

Think this may be my old Aeromax which I sold a couple of years ago to an Aero enthusiast (he had an S4) who lived near Exeter (the alloys threw me) and the Union Jack badge on bonnet been added. Will always regret selling but needs must sometimes.
