Same here! Although to my shame it's been SORNed for the last few years and it's sitting in my shed.

The TT100 tyre was named after the Welsh Wizard motorcycle racer Malcolm Uphill. He was the first rider to break the 100 mph lap at the IOM TT races on a production Triumph. I knew Malcolm who was a very quiet, and relatively shy person but on a motorcycle he was very fast and smooth. He always made the amusing comment about his time racing Agostini and with him always getting the accolades and attention of the women, but what did I get remembered for, only ‘A bloody tyre named after me’.

Will have to scan in a photo or two of my old '78 UK spec T140V smile
On another note did anyone see the Antiques Roadshow broadcast two days ago - Manx Norton frame jig featured right towards the end of the programme grin2

That Triumph sounded a darn sight better than all the gulls that could be heard before and afterwards! Nice post George!
