Sad news today to hear of the passing of the singer Bonnie Tyler. She apparently died in hospital. So it is really “Total Eclipse of the Heart”
R.I.P Bonnie.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I personally believe in respect for the deceased. Of course there are some examples where this is challenging but those fall into the realm of people who orchestrate genocide and other acts of similar barbarity; thankfully, those people are extremely rare.

For the majority of people, I view them as someone’s family, a loved one, and a myriad of other human characteristics that made them who they were. Whilst I may not agree with them, things that they have said, perhaps their actions, or approach to life, I would not, as Keith said, "speak ill of the dead."

In the case in point, it is starting to sound like she had a tragic end and that, in itself, is reason for compassion, in my humble opinion; and, that is before we get into the sentiment above.

"It's a Heartache" is the only song I saw my mate cry when he heard it.

This is not an appropriate thread drift boys - no fan of the Tory horse windbag from Dartmoor but nothing at all to do with Bonnie Tyler and the pleasure she gave a lot of us 🙏
