How do I make my mohair hood water-proof?? It is in excellent condition; it leaks in rain at points where hood sits on hood framework...and I do mean leaks.
Any suggested remedies welcome

Ray,
The seams and the general hood fabric can be reproofed with Fabsil. I use it and it works for me. If however, you are concerned about leaks around the screen, Dave W and others will be along shortly.

Wax the seams with dubbin. There are also fabric sealers you can get . Autoglym sell one

This is MMCs latest on the header rail from a Roadster demo I borrowed last week. Please note the header leaked & mine doesn't but that might have been the set up. The hooder rail wouldn't release at the back so the hood alignment & tightness to the top rail couldn't be adjusted easily. They have fitted some foam to seal the gap by the A pillar. Renovo is another hood proofer. I used Renovo on my previous Mog and it seemed to work a treat

Agree with all the above solutions but try rubbing some candle wax into the seams where they contact the hood rails etc. Should be ok then.....
