My Factory Visit 01/10/12
Some things of interest. The first two photos are parts of my car. The 3rd and 4th are pictures of the purple leather for Paul o' Grady's car, and his car itself. The 6th picture is Mr. Charles Morgan's own Aeromax. I saw Charles himself shortly afterwards.

Charles Aeromax? I am creating a history of the Aeromaxes and I like a good spotted photo... Rich, this is the Aeromax I took down to France last year for the Aero Club mid year meet. It was built because the factory's Aeromax had been written off and they wanted one for the museum collection. There are many photos of it on this site from that trip and other events; also, if you Google Aeromax, it is the one that often comes up because it is the one MMC bring to events, shows. etc.

Ask RedMorgan - he's got a photo of me struggling to get out of the passenger side a couple of years ago at Prescott...

A lovely collection DMJ - an eclectic mix that proves what a good tenners-worth you get on the factory tour. Of course, your tour has cost a bit more than a tenner Cheers Jezza / Jeremy

Neilda....there was a sand Roadster parked in the despatch area with a black mohair hood. Only saw the rear end so no idea if it had a bonnet strap fitted. You are welcome to a photo if you think it might be yours!
Yes Yes Oh YES! Please do post it. It sounds like mine. Oh, come on, Neil! Only another day & you'll have the real thing to play with If you have time after playing, we want to hear all about it Ian

The MotaLita car, as you call it, was David's and yes, he did write it off and they subsequently built him another one (on compassionate grounds and for reasons I think any of us would understand); as he has now passed, his car was sold and now is owned by a member of this site. The original car, which 000 replaced, was the 2nd factory development car and not 101 as you mention. Like Rich's car, it does not have an Aeromax number but rather an Aero 8 vin. It is my understanding that there have been at least 5 RHD Aeromaxs written off and I am not sure of how many LHD have suffered a similar fate.

The other issue is that at least 2 RHD have been sold to Europe and father afield (Australia) because at the time the exchange rate made them more attractive than LHD.

I wonder where my Aero Coupe will be by Friday! I have another picture of Mr. Morgan's car from the front, but left it off here to make room for other pics. I might've got more than £10's worth as I spoke to Martyn Webb for 30 minutes after the tour!
