Morgan Roadster still B&W

I have him now since a couple of month.

Twice to Italy and a couple of times to the south of Germany.

Did 15.000 km and still in love.

No problems to report other than the winter is coming........

Bye

Axel - To turn your photos into B&W did you simply press a button on your photography editing software, or did you edited it by desaturating each of the colour elements in Photoshop?

Steve,

I do not use Photoshop.

I use Lightroom for Mac. For these photos I actually tried (downloaded a demo version) the Silver Efix Pro software from NIK.

So I imported the .jpeg into Lightroom and converted them with the LR plugin Silver Efix into Black and White.

I played a bit with the settings and that were the results.

Bye

Thanks Alex. Would you believe it, last month my son brought me 'Advanced Digital Black and White Photography' by John Beardsworth, and the technique and apps you have used are recommended in it.

G - That is my aim. I particularly like the B&W style with strong contrast. Of course in the olden days that would have been achieved using different types of paper, using an app you can juggle all you like. Well that is the theory; most basic packages simply apply a bland B&W conversion, hence my interest in different approaches to achieve some control. When I spied this book in the Tate bookshop I could not put it down, so James brought it for me.

Lovely photos Axel. Like you I use Lightroom and the NIK Silver FX plugin.......I'm impressed with their software and the free trial full use demos really are worth trying out everyone!
