New Aero Coupe - Pickup
I got it yesterday from Ledgerwoods. Had a good drive. Gone into temporary hibernation through the cold spell.

Are they similar bonnet release catches to a traditional Morgan? If so, mine were impossible when new.... After 1200 miles they seem much more flexible. I noted that BHM gave them a squib of oil during the service... Fabulous looking car. Congrats. Beyond custard and into the sweet crumble!

Indeed. The car looks great. Re the bonnet catches, maybe you need to get down the gym and build up those thumb muscles.

Yes, the bonnet release is the same. Mine were incredibly stiff, but are now easy (with no adjustment having been made). Is your car brand new? If so, I'd be tempted to wait as they'll probably losen up a bit.

Yes, but as it's winter, I need my battery conditioner on. I'm in a lot of pain after closing lid. I've never successfully done it on my own, so was determined. Had to smash through a heavy pain barrier. Agony. Will have to put ice on it. I think I've got an internal bleed in my hand. I'm surprised I can't see exposed bone. Have to squeeze down the tiny garage. Already scuffed rims with my clown feet. Nowhere to put conditioner unit so put it on folded towel on top of car. How long do you leave it on for? I daren't leave it overnight.

Your going to end up a right stress monkey at this rate Jack. You've not driven it yet! How will you go on when its parked on the mean streets of Hull in the land of green ginger? Try and relax and enjoy it.

No way will it go to Hull. I have driven it back from Ledgerwoods and then to my uncle's house. He can't get in because of his hip injury, so he made me drive up and down the street. I've just got to be smarter. It was fun to drive it home from Lincs. I was worried I'd not reach the toll booth from the cabin, but I did. You feel like "somebody" in these cars. You get an interesting view from inside. Just need some warmer weather and to get out again.

No way will it go to Hull. Quite right. That would be going to Hull in a hand(built)car(t)

You could get some fab pictures of it parked at the marina, white boats in the background.
Don't leave it overnight though.

Oh yes. I might go down there. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Hull. But that's not too far from the main roads.
