Morgan Baby Doll unveiled

The first in the new line of Morgan Plus 4 Baby Doll production cars, developed and produced by Morgan’s racing division “Aero Racing” as a road going track car was present at the factory yesterday for one of the regular Saturday morning open days. The car is both brutal in performance and striking in looks with a full race package as standard and 250 bhp being produced from the Omex tuned 2.0 Duratec engine. My first impressions are that the Baby Doll has an awesome power to weight ratio coupled with precision handling and a rasping exhaust note that all go together to create what will be a very competitive track car package. Being a track car there is however no warranty on the engine, Morgan and Aero Racing were keen to stress that although the Baby Doll is eligible for the road it has been designed and set up for the track. The car will be available in two colours blue and green with optional mini light wheels.

Great looking car and exciting specification. Just love the dash layout, it looks so much more practical than some of the late model trads which have the main instruments in the centre, away from the driver's site line.

The black Baby Doll car is non standard as it's the Aero Racing colour scheme.

The Baby Doll rear wing is about 1/2" wider than a Plus 4 due to the 205 versus 195 tyres.

.... which are available as an option on a bespoke Plus 4. In hind sight I wish I had ordered them. These seem quite a low profile. The option for the Plus 4 is 205/65 R15

Very nice photos Richard! Rather hope you might turn up in one at the next Shelsley Breakfast!!

One thing I've noticed...the prototype and the one in the original publicity photos have the older style screen mounts whilst this has the latest cast ones. I'd have thought the older ones would be more sensible to take the screen off for racing than keep unscrewing the mounts from the bodywork.

Looks good in black!
