It really seems like a great option - especially when you consider the MSRP. coffee

Looks very simliar to my (nearly finished) sprint car.. minus roll bar.

Personally I like it.. how about offering it with the 1400cc version of the ford engine. Then under 21's could drive it as well.

Current insurance climate makes it more difficult than easy... just trying to get the product available to the largest market.

I think it's a great car though.

but at 26k no one under 21 will afford it.

An 10k 4/4 is achieveable given some kids are lucky enough for their parents to buy them minis and the like... i bought my car myself with money for less that i had made myself.

I always thought morgan should do a entry level car for 16-18k MX Five Money. Could just be done with GRP pannels as caterham can do it for far less...

However Morgan said they did not want to position the brand in that lower market as they would just be an assembler of cars..

I am 23 and my car is only £460 a year fully comp own name etc.. so compared to other small cars it is cheap to run and insure as it is unlikely to loose much money however Morgans are seen by your average young person as old fashioned and not their cup of tea..

However saying that a American friend of mine at St Andrew has just bought himself a 63 plus 4 in the states and a couple are highly likely to buy one when they leave. The problem is exposure amougst the younger generation is very poor...

It is not seen sadly as a young persons car anymore, however girls love them and they certainly should be...

Two points I totally agree with and ones that we've debated on here on more than one occasion! thumbs

Will, you're 23 and imho, your speaking for the demographic I'd love to see become 'aware' of Morgans. Like YoungOne (another younger owner/member), I imagine a parent/family member introduced you to Morgans? It would be interesting to understand how you were introduced to the brand because I doubt it was through 'popular' culture.

I'm in my 30's but it took the Aero 8 - and a one off article in the motoring press - to interest me (and remind me the brand existed!).

Like many great products, it is a well kept secret; however, I'm glad to see that MMC are now focused on reversing this. The rebrand, Geneva show and other activities all seem to be helping to raise the profile on the Morgan company.

I'd now love to see more product placement - including programs aimed at younger audiences. thumbs
