No photos of a flypast then? smile
I know how much you were lusting after it, but consider this, sent from an acquaintance across the pond:
"Well the Spitfire is a £1-2 million aircraft and holds about 94 gallons with 33 gallons in the two wing tanks plus a reserve tank of 28 gallons. The Merlin XX engine uses about 35-45 gallons/hr of 100 octane AvGas. ($11/gallon around here).
Mike"

Don't think trading Nero will get you very far towards that bill!! laugh2

Nice set of photos to give a good flavour of the day smile

Richard...it's the "Thrill on the Hill" rally plaque. Couldn't get it to fit on the front!

G.....we can only dream can't we! I'd got the wrong camera for decent photos of the plane and also I've missed so much of the action when peering through a lens in the past!

Understood!
My only photo all day was the 3W in the corner close to the Start Line.

Another pal (who was there yesterday) posted this for you:

Good shots showing the flavour of the day. Even better still showing the top of the Hill with me in the top right hand corner with someones ideal daughter sitting in the passenger seat in my Ivory plus 4. She was a designer and loved the Morgan design. Very chatty but I did get the odd word in, mainly to answer one of her many questions.
An excellent fix of morgans.

Great Photos Jays. thumbs

Grahams 'Lellow Car' is looking fab shades sunny

Aeroman's Brooklands looks fab with the Polished Bonnet/Cowl notworthy .

The ones we saw at the factory were all matt finish idea ?

That touch of individuality that we expect from Aeroman notworthy

Hopefully we will see it at Brooklands on 6th ????????? somestick

What is planned? Brooklands is an easy run up for me...More info much appreciated!

The "Brooklands" Look is really good, much better in the metal than the photos. I'd love to see one with the body covered in green leathercloth, the wings gloss green and the bonnet and cowl polished....but keeping all that alloy polished??
Wonder if they could do it in 303 Stainless?
