Hi all,
Hi Moll66, hope you agree I’ve choosen your fantastic picture for sketching out my photoshopped Morgan 4/4 sport 2+2-saeater. It’s very similar to the old 4-seater shape and suits the “4/4 Sport philosophy”
(light, funny & economic), but offering more space & capacity.
Hope you like it.
BTW: really stunning that Red wine (Maroon) colour!

I really like this colour combination .
So classic .
Seems to be the same colour as "Duchess of Hamilton " steam locomotive see at National Railway Museum .

Very nice. I think the 2+2 is a concept well worth exploring. This design exercise, with the hood up, has a much nicer appearance than the existing 4 seater. It is dificult to see how it would work with the side screens. How would you manage the space between the door mounted sidescreens and the side of the hood?

Excellent work. It does look easy on the eye, which I can't say about the current 4 seater. Helped by that colour combo, which has caused a lot of excitement recently.

This option should be available, as a 2 seater with more luggage space. The sidescreens could either be 'large', or a zip out section of hood with plastic windows could be adopted. Graham Beardmore (sadly no longer with us) had removeable side windows incorporated in the hood of his Plus 8 to improve visibility, and they looked great. If I still have a photo I'll post it later.

PS - being slightly colour blind I see this colour as browny red.

I'm glad you like it....It is not the first time I try to design a Trad with more space inside.....but I Know Morganeers love the 2-seater shape and prefer carry a (beautiful)suitcase on a rack in the back of their car....
and so the Morgan 4-seater sales are low....

As an owner of the current 4 seater, I think this makes an attractive 2 seater with more internal luggage space, but I'm not convinced the design allows enough space for rear seats capable of accommodating people, especially with the hood up - the current 4 seater body is a fair bit longer than shown here.

MMC's 4 seater design does not appeal to all (I perhaps am in a minority who like it), but that aside I would say it does a remarkable job of being able to transport 4 adults hood up or down, plus picnic and chairs, something no other Morgan can do !

I don't think there are many 2+2 sports cars that can really transport 4 adults. Some I have seen would even have trouble with 2 adults and 2 children. This would be fine for 2 adults and 2 children or perhaps small adults and would be great for touring with some custom luggage. Really that is what a 2+2 is all about.

When you are young it is amazing what you can do though. The first sports car that I owned was a Honda S600 Coupe exactly like the one recently sold by Shannons (for all I know it may even have been this car) http://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/lot/E634AQU7ID30C65L/

I managed to squeeze my mate and 3 girls into it. The smallest somehow in the middle between the seats and 2 in the back in the luggage space.
