Again, thanks for sharing. I quite like the matt finish too. +1 II am from a generation who played at spraying you own car and if you got it really badly wrong, you got a matt finish. Funny how times change.

I too sprayed my first car after a bump - a Ford Anglia - new colour was electric blue half gloss half matt, complete with a few runs, yep I got it wrong. The orange peel black roof was really something.

I know the feeling. Metallic brown renault 5 ts rust bucket.
More filler than metal and loving hand sprayed in Edliegh Rd Clapham.

The yellow Plus 8 is the 'Plus E' electric Morgan. The paint is standard yellow and the black is simply a decal (vinyl wrap)

Hmmm, I'm not sure about matt paint on cars. I'm not a great one for doing lots of pollishing, but I just want to get the polishing mops out and try to make that shine...

You even should´nt "polish" a matt paint because you will get shiny spots on the paint, Their gloss will depend on how hard you polished the different areas of the car.
Done by hand you can imagine what´ll be the result...
So you can also forget to wax a matt paint.
I even heard of a car shampoo especially made for matt paint.
Will be a topic for me after finishing the restoration of my Series 2 Land Rover painted in a silk-mat dark green...
