Aeroscreens

Fitted aeroscreens with Simmonds feet & a modified Hearts of England folding w/screen kit on my 1997 +4.

As I have a Simmonds hood the arms on the folding kit need to be adjusted by cutting off a section & drilling a hole for the screw.

Ivo,
I don't know but I think the constraints would be the folding screen arms need modifying. Heart of England can tell you & you could do as I did & use the old ones as a jig.

Then I think you have a heated screen so I guess you would need to be able to disconnect the wiring with some kind of plug.

Otherwise you should be able to do this. Why not call Simmonds to get their view.

John

Thanks John,

Isn't there's also a problem with the inclination of the windshield of the later models, which don't allow to leave the aeroscreens in place, when using the windshield?
Anyway... As I will keep my Moggie until I'm old and grey oldgit I will have plenty of time, to figure something out sherlock
There was an issue in the German forum. They came with a very interesting solution. picture1 / picure2 / picture3
Big disadvantage with this, either one of the screens will have to stay at home. ...quite bad if gloomy

Salut,
Ivo

Ivo,
no idea I guess there may be. I used to leave mine on in 4/4 but they turn screws were often connecting with the w/screen.
The Simmonds feet let you take off the screens very easily so they aren't up with the w/screen in upright.

Came back through the Dartford crossing today.

Not certain, but looking at the barrier height, fitting aeroscreens could save a few quid!

And then there are all those car parks with barriers....
