Morgan Oil Catch tank - The Practical Solution
The easiest to install and requires no drilling of fixing holes; easy to remove and empty; uncomplicated as you can see if there's oil collecting in any volume; cheap as it's free with screenwash and many other fluids; and light much lighter than fabricated aluminium.

Is that full fat/ semi skimmed/ skimmed oil in the engine?

Forgive my ignorance but what does an oil catch tank do, and do I need one? not really ,normally used to catch oil blown out by pressure in the crankcase, under racing conditions.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

Engines generate pressure within the crankcase caused by heat and any leakage past the pistons and this pressure needs to be managed. Modern cars recycle the oil mist from within the engine crankcase back through the fuel or exhaust system.
Competition engines, particularly those running on carburettors are better without the oil mist being fed into the combustion process. Furthermore, competition regulatory bodies such as the MSA require competitors to have catch tanks rather than venting to the atmoshere or dumping the excess onto the track.
The MSA'S Blue Book contains all regulatory requirements for competition cars and event organisers.

Where is the filter to atmosphere? as unless it is routed back to the the normal collection point (air inlet etc) then it's breaking one of the many Euro emission laws. That said should the pipe blow out of the container it will create a nice anti corrosion spray.

What are Euro emission laws? Are they the ones designed to stop all the diarrhoea coming out of Brussels?
Actually, it's one of the benefits of running a 1970s car - reduced demands for compliance!
