Aeromax

After processing all the other photos, I've finally had a chance to edit the ones of my new car; to say I'm thrilled with it would be an understatement. woohoo

I have the utmost respect for the people at Morgan and my thanks go out to each and every one of the people involved in planning and building mine - they are craftsmen and the passion for what they do shows in every aspect of this car.

All I can say is that pictures honestly do not do it justice (especially the interior - which doesn't photograph well: in reality it is a warm, rich colour with a lovely aged patina to the leather).

Anyway, enough about that... here are some snaps...

The first lot of distressed leathers fitted by MMC on Aero's were from Muirhead and I believe the first distressed leather interior (in black) was fitted to my AeroMax.

When speccing my Aero 8, currently about to go into build, I was going to have their distressed dark brown interior (Boshly made me do it smile ) and this was what was fitted to the Hamster's AeroMax interior and I'm told looked ace. thumbs

However, when Simon and I were at the factory we were told that MMC had just had some new leather samples from Yarwood and that they were very impressed with them. Matt Humphries brought the swatch book which had just arrived that day and the leathers were in fact furniture rather than automotive leathers and are part of the Tribe range. The specific leather is 'Africa', so for me the choice was a no-brainer. sunny

It seems that Yarwood, who MMC used to use a lot for their leather interiors, have had a new lease of life and as you can see from their site have an extensive range of different leathers to suit pretty well all tastes.

To my mind, the Muirhead doesn't actually look distressed, despite being sold as that. The Yarwood has a really nice patina and some people have asked if it is actually suede (it has that appearance from a distance).

It suits the character of the Morgan very well.

A few of the MMC guys commented that the Yarwood would only get better looking with age, where as many leather interiors start to look tired after use. I think this is a fair assessment of the Yarwood Tribe leather and definitely part of my reasoning for choosing it.

(It is also a very thick leather, which adds to the character of it)

Its the same as an ASBO be redefined to be quicker to expidite, and more comfortable for the incumbent at the same time. It also makes greater allowance for baggage..

Oh and useful stuff about the leather.
Hmmm suede.... Hmmmm.... Dark brown suede Aero interior perhaps..
I still think a balloon white aeromax with pony skin interior is the way forward. (yee haw)...

Of course nothing can beat the rarest Series II (the connoisseurs choice!)

Come on aeroman your just worried that the Series 2 minority is ganging up and forming a majority and this all could lead to a TM Revolution, with Boshly appointed leader. notworthy notworthy

Now I know that you have a sheltered life in the wilds of African but surely your neighbours at the castle with the late night drinking, night clubbing and random helicopter landings have educated you on the finer aspects of the asbo, or the French version Le Asbo. Look whats happened today the police have had to seal of half of London so some people who live in Windsor can have an evening out on the town without destroying it all.
