I am happy with the colors and was thinking of replicating them in the Aero but it doesn't work.

Now that works but you'd need to make your Aero two-tone white and blue, with burgundy stripes if you want to pay homage to the plane.

Exactly. Give it the same colour scheme:
The wings, the luggage compartment lid and the lower portion of the body in white. (About as high, as the wings).
The rest as on your plane, including the blue which would go "into" the upper part of the body side.
The red lines.
... and even those lines from the wheel fairings, as a design element on the wings...

You could do the stripes with adhesive tape, so you can remove them when you change your mind.

I used to have a private pilot license, and the look over the bonnet of my Moggie a lot reminds me the view out of an airplane.

... or even... why not paint the whole car in white, and do the colour "thing" with self adhesive film.... will give you more flexibility...

Nice Cessna! And I concur with Ivo, that coloursheme would look great on an Aero.
Reminds me of a boat I saw in Saint-Tropez, a big white yacht with a small green stripe. All the toys onboard had the same coloursheme. I even saw his Ferrari at the lights, white with a green stripe. Rediculous, but very cool.

Thanks for the ideas but I think it would look too much like candy, too "red, white and blue". It works on the plane, I don't think it would on the car. I'll give it a shot on photoshop though.
