The 4/4 "Speedster"

I thought you all might be interested in a couple of quick phone shots of the first sub £30k 4/4 to come out of the factory. Sorry about the quality.

Sports body, Ambla instead of leather for all surfaces, silver painted wheels.

It generated some positive interest with a couple of guys on my tour this afternoon to the extent that one of them has gone off to talk to his wife and then contact his local dealer. He was interested in a three wheeler but once he'd seen the 4/4 he changed his mind.

If MMC want to keep the 'Speedster' moniker for the Plus 8, and the new car is based on a 4/4 Sport, then they could call it the 'Sportster'?

Or, perhaps, the Squid?

(It's a few squid less than a standard 4/4)

If it lost the wing mirrors and door handles it would have a really clean look.

Think it will attract buyers - in the pics it appears not to be undersealed on the chassis. It might not be finished or is this how it will be delivered? My car is heavily coated underneath except where the hot exhaust burns it off the chassis smile

Do like it but apart from the grey, not a car for Scotland with all the rain. Even nicer if it had a flat 6 engine

Very much in the dog house, could be up for rehoming

Well that's true, mine was something like £7,600 I think.

Well I did say back on the 1st July on the "revised 4/4 pricing thread" that I'd forgive them if they put a pair of Brooklands screens on instead and they almost got it right....

All they have to do is fit a nice low profile racing mirror on the dash top and remove those dog ear like wing mirrors and it will look svelte.
