The 4/4 "Speedster"
I thought you all might be interested in a couple of quick phone shots of the first sub £30k 4/4 to come out of the factory. Sorry about the quality.
Sports body, Ambla instead of leather for all surfaces, silver painted wheels.
It generated some positive interest with a couple of guys on my tour this afternoon to the extent that one of them has gone off to talk to his wife and then contact his local dealer. He was interested in a three wheeler but once he'd seen the 4/4 he changed his mind.

Actually I am surprised that there is no mirror on the dash....I thought it would be required.

I thought it was but that wing mirrors were only required if you had no internal rear vision as in vans, but I could be out of date on that.

AIUI all vehicles must have at least two mirrors, one of which must give a view down the offside the vehicle - i.e. a driver's door or wing mirror.

Thanks - I learnt to drive in a van in 1968 and that's the last I knew anything on mirrors .

I thought it was "any two" mirrors with one on the drivers side. Hence why older cars often omitted the near side until travelling to Europe became more common. I recall as a kid going with my Dad to the garage to get a nearside (UK) wing mirror fitted for a holiday to France.

Interesting it has the optional "round" mirrors and not the standard trapezoidal ones.

I like it but as has been said I bought a M3W before my 4/4. Maybe less is more. Peter Dron has bought a new 4/4 with no door handles and it looks fantastic.
Vive la diference.
