My life with Cats & Dogs
Well...how's my Moggless life going I hear you cry...Well it's different, that's for sure and I feel a different connection with other road users also. There are fewer smiles from passing drivers and less pointing and waving, but I kind of expected that. The 4/4 has a far more charming visual character than the F-Type. I am enjoying the drive with the Jag, however. I know it's like comparing chalk and cheese, but I am very much enjoying the drive right now......I'm missing my lovely 4/4 Sport, but i'm enjoying the F-Type at the same time.

You have to drive a very old classic to get more attention than a Mog !

I am very fond of the F type, loved it since launch, but a world away from the 4/4 of course. However, residuals may not compare so favourably for the Jaaaag,

Where's the dog? you can't suggest it and leave him out of the photos! Glad you are enjoying the Jag......ditto for me with the Cayman although I do still have Nero for those Morgan moments. Strangely the Cayman gets a fair bit of attention when parked at the factory.....and I now have a rather lovely lady in a 911 who waves at me each morning as I drive to work! I took my Porsche dealer out for a spin in the Roadster a couple of days ago...he couldn't get his head around how much attention we got!

Thanks fellas. Yes...don't mention residuals...it makes me not feel too well.. Jay's....I did more or less the same thing with the Jag dealer just before the change and I could tell he just didn't get the Morgan thing. I guess some folks will never 'get it'. As far as looks from others go...I can see that they want to look but have this kind of 'I don't want to be seen by the driver looking at the car' behavior going on. Then of course there are the boy racers who want to try to get ahead. In contrast, in the 4/4 people were much more forward about the aspect of looking and pointing, which actually, i'm much more comfortable about. One good thing about driving the F-Type over the 4/4 is that I feel more secure and safe in the cockpit of the Jag...more in it than on it and the longer/higher boot gives me a more comfortable feeling when the car behind follows too close in the traffic. The down side to that is that a can't see or sense the extremity of the car as well as the 4/4 so you can't slot yourself into a gap in the traffic with as much precision...The heavier A-pillars affect the vision lines, but when the hood is up, the Jag offers better vision angles, so that will be a plus in the winter.
