Mine has tarnished. The centre black is enamel but the outside part comes off with thinners. I've refurbed it once and covered the number so that it doesn't disappear over time. But the metal is pitting and there's no fix for that.

There is a process called "conformal coating" which deposits a very thin transparent layer of parylene (a clear inert protective polymer) but you need a vacuum chamber to do it - anyone in the electronics industry would probably be familiar with it.........you just need to have your badge accidentally fall in with the next batch of 'work'......

My Centennial badge has tarnished as well. It's pitted and the black has disapeared from the centre of the "O". It loks a bit scruffy now so I am going to remove it. I need to think about what to replace it with. I only like one badge on my car and I am thinking of one of Uncle Melvin's "Morgans Finest Hour" reproduction badges.

May I ask what color white Rosie is? I no longer have Rosie as I change to Little Red Rosie who is 3.7 Roadster, Rosie is classic Royal Ivory. This is I believe slightly more creamy than the current Royal Ivory due to the change in paint type used.
