A Pair of 8s.

Driving back from the factory yesterday I pulled into the M5 Gloucester Services for a bite to eat and to visit the butchers for some mutton... At a service area you ask? Well the Gloucester services are more of a Farm Shop than anything else: the food is excellent. If you are driving past Gloucester on the M5 a visit is essential...!

To my surprise as I pulled into the car park I found the factory Aero 8 demonstrator....so had to park next to it!

Two stunning examples of Morgan's craftsmanship...including a Plus 8 with a nice new Roll Bar..

It turns out that it was being borrowed by the Morgan Dealer in Cornwall to let 5 or 6 prospects have a go over the weekend! So as we left the two of us made a lot of childish noise by revving our cars.... The demonstrator has side exhausts and is VERY loud. Tarka is just loud.

Enjoy...

PS: Added a nice photo of the Aero Wheel, they are one of the most stylish, elegant and delicate forged alloy wheels I know!!

Both lovely looking cars, however Tarka's wheels on the Aero cloud9

What's MMC fascination with dark colours and matching wheels!?

Couldn't agree more....

The original Aero wheels are now almost sold out at MMC and Morgan are not planning on getting any more from Japan. The new ones are UK made and MUCH cheaper....but lack the elegance (and strength) of the originals...

Such a shame, IF I ever sold my Aero it would go to the new owner on bricks!

Quite agree, I really do not like the current aero 8 wheels at all.

The side exhausts aren't only bass-deep & loud... the burgundy demonstrator is an auto, and it blips the throttle on downchanges... and makes a beautiful sound

On a test drive I found myself changing up more often than I needed to, just to be able to blip my way down again.

scared

Mine doesn't blip for some reason. I feel I'm missing out on one of life's fundamental pleasures.
